Welcome Letter!

School is almost back in session. Ahh! So many thoughts going through my head. Scared, excited?, scared. I just can't wait to see what it's all about. I'm not sure if I will be teaching 1st grade or 2nd grade. The suspense is intense and freaking me out a bit, but it will all work out either way. I went shopping today for some new "teacher" outfits. It was fun and got me a bit more excited for this crazy LAST semester to begin. I wrote out my welcome letter this evening. I decided to write it in poem form, just for fun =)  Here it is:

 

" Hello there! My name is Ms. Katie Lett.

Tobbee, the cat, is my one and only pet.

I grew up in a very small town on the other side of our state.

I have three brothers and two sisters-in-law, and they’re all super great.

I am blessed to have two nephews who are smart, kind and always make me smile.

I love west Michigan, even though I’ve only lived here a short while.

I love photography, doing various crafts and decorating cakes.

My favorite part about living in Michigan is visiting all of our beautiful lakes.

We will have fun with Math, Language Arts, Science and History.

Learning with each other will be great fun; it’s no mystery.

I’m very excited to meet all of you and have some fun together.

Learning inside and out, depending on the weather.  

I love all animals, but cows are my very favorite creature.
