For my Classroom Management class we have to write journals about things we see while in the classroom. I wrote about one of the boys who has been suspended and who I have made connections with. (I have mentioned him before). This is what my professor, a former teacher and principal, had to say in response to my journal entry. Gives me great hope.
" I am so proud of you Katie, you will become an awesome teacher, a hug and he missed you, you've truly gotten through to him. I would hire you in a heartbeat. Keep up the great things you are doing for this student and the others who you will come across in your career and NEVER forget the impact you have as a caring adult. Again, I'm proud of you."
I love Grand Valley for its small class sizes and professors who truly care.
