Handwriting

Today was another great day. It is so nice to be in a building that welcomes me with open arms, and in a classroom that wants me there. My teacher is super sassy, and if I'm being honest, at times I'm kind of scared. I love that about her. She has control.

Today I wrote the schedule on the board and as the kids came in they kept commenting on how "pretty" the handwriting is. I was so happy to hear them say that because I have been practicing!!!!!!!! Yes, practicing my printing! With my pretty new onset of benign essential tremors my handwriting has gone down the tubes. It becomes truly difficult for me to hold a pen/pencil while shaking as well as keep my handwriting legible. It is a small thing to deal with, but it is pretty embarassing most of the time. So, it was great to be recognized for something I have been working on to improve. I mean, who doesn't remember watching their favorite teacher write on the board and working your absolute best to mimic her flawless penmanship?!

Tomorrow we have a sub....come to find out I had a reading class with her a couple of semesters ago...
